Reg. (EU) 2023/1115 Every article, on every file — verified, not assumed

The most rigorous EUDR Due Diligence Statement a trader can file.

The EUDR Deforestation Due Diligence Engine assembles a documentation-complete Due Diligence Statement — every supplier plot geolocated and validated, each batch screened against the deforestation baseline, a defensible risk assessment and mitigation record built, and a compliant DDS drafted and (as an EU-established Authorised Representative) submitted into TRACES — checked against the letter of Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 before a compliance lead releases it.

Why filings fail

A single missing polygon can block a shipment at the border.

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) bans placing coffee, cocoa, rubber, soy, palm, cattle, or wood products on the EU market unless they are proven deforestation-free, legally produced, and covered by a Due Diligence Statement filed in TRACES. Miss a plot geolocation, skip a deforestation screen, or fail to document a risk assessment — and the shipment can be stopped, confiscated, or trigger fines of at least 4% of EU-wide annual turnover.

Most operators run this by hand, from memory, once or twice a year. The regulation has not been read end-to-end since the last time it mattered. That is exactly where completeness gaps hide.

The EUDR Deforestation Due Diligence Engine exists to close that gap with a single, exhaustive standard applied identically to every file.

The benchmark

Measured against the letter of the regulation — article by article.

We do not summarize the law and hope. Every file is scored against a versioned rule pack tied to the exact text of Regulation (EU) 2023/1115. These are the provisions each file is held to.

Art. 9(1)(a)

Plot geolocation

Every plot of land producing the commodity is geolocated with polygons for plots over 4 hectares and coordinates to six decimal places for smaller plots — all present, or the file does not release.

Art. 9(1)(b)

Deforestation-free verification

Each batch is screened against satellite deforestation data to confirm no forest conversion after 31 December 2020, with a documented evidence trail.

Art. 9(1)(c)

Legality verification

Documented evidence that the production complies with relevant legislation of the country of origin, including land use, environmental, and labor laws.

Art. 10

Risk assessment

A documented risk assessment for each batch, covering deforestation risk, legality risk, and complexity of the supply chain, with mitigation measures where needed.

Art. 4(2)

Due Diligence Statement

A compliant DDS drafted and submitted into TRACES, containing all required information including product description, quantity, country of production, and geolocation references.

Art. 12

Five-year record keeping

An audit-ready evidence file maintained for five years, including all geolocation data, deforestation screening results, risk assessments, and the DDS.

How a file is built

Intake to compliance lead release, with deterministic gates the AI cannot overrule.

AI extracts and drafts. Deterministic rules — running as code, outside the model — decide what is complete. A human compliance lead signs every release. That order is never reversed.

01

Exposure & Readiness Scan

Send your product list and supplier roster. We return a free per-commodity scope map, a plot-data gap report, and a fixed quote before you pay anything.

02

Plot onboarding & geolocation

As your authorized agent, we collect supplier documents, extract coordinates, reconcile inconsistent formats into compliant polygons, and validate against satellite imagery.

03

Deforestation screening

Each plot is screened against high-resolution satellite deforestation layers (≥0.5 ha change detection) to confirm no forest loss after 31 December 2020.

04

Risk assessment & mitigation

A documented risk assessment is built per batch, including country-level and plot-level risk, with mitigation measures where needed. All evidence is logged.

05

Compliance lead release

A compliance lead reviews the exception queue and signs the negligible-risk conclusion. High-risk or complex files route to external legal review first.

06

Delivery & filing

You receive the finished DDS, evidence file, and TRACES submission confirmation. The file is maintained for five years with continuous monitoring available.

Why the EUDR Engine

Built to be the most thorough option a trader has.

Documentation-complete, by design

The deliverable is completeness itself — every regulatory element and screening accounted for or explicitly exception-coded. Nothing is left implicit.

Deterministic, not vibes

The gates that decide completeness are code, not a model's opinion. A drafting error cannot slip past a regulatory requirement.

In its lane, on purpose

We prepare documentation and run screenings as your authorized agent. We never give legal advice or make legal determinations; liability stays with the operator.

FAQ

Questions, answered precisely.

Is the EUDR Engine a law firm?
No. The EUDR Deforestation Due Diligence Engine, a service of Your Deputy, Obuke LLC, provides documentation-completeness and regulatory compliance services. It is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not represent you in any legal matter. External legal review is available and recommended for high-risk or complex files.
Do you contact my suppliers or collect data from them?
We contact suppliers only as your authorized clerical agent to collect geolocation and production data. We do not make legal representations to them. You remain the operator responsible for the supply chain.
What makes a file 'complete'?
Completeness is defined by the regulation: every plot geolocated to six decimal places, deforestation screening passed, legality verified, risk assessment documented, and a compliant DDS drafted and filed. Deterministic gates enforce each one before release.
How fast is it?
The standard SLA is five business days from complete intake to a compliance lead-released file. The free Exposure Scan is returned much sooner and tells you exactly what is still needed.
How are you priced?
A flat fee per plot onboarded, per DDS filed, and per monitoring subscription. No hourly billing and no percentage of any shipment value.
